Teach AI to analyze data like a careful data scientist.
Leading AI labs need data scientists, ML engineers and statisticians to write challenging analysis problems, check model-written code and conclusions, and catch the errors that look fine at a glance. Remote, flexible, paid hourly.
Apply as an expertWhat you'll do
- Write realistic analysis and modeling problems, from experiment design to forecasting, with worked solutions and the data to back them.
- Review AI-written pandas, SQL and modeling code for leakage, silent join errors, and metrics that hide poor performance.
- Compare and rank model responses on statistics questions, and explain in writing which conclusion the data actually supports.
- Correct step-by-step reasoning on tests, intervals and model evaluation so models learn how an expert reaches the answer.
Who we're looking for
- 2+ years of hands-on work in data science, machine learning, statistics or a quantitative research field.
- Or a master's or PhD in statistics, computer science, economics or a related quantitative field.
- Fluent in Python or R and SQL, and used to validating your own results before anyone else sees them.
- You can explain a flawed analysis or a misleading chart in clear written English.
- You use AI tools and can tell confident language from a correct answer. You will demonstrate this in the assessment.

Questions
What does the assessment cover?
About 20 minutes: 3 quick reasoning questions, 5 on working with AI (checking sources, verifying an agent's claims, spotting instructions hidden in content) and 5 on AI in your field. Then two short written answers: why you picked one AI response over another, and a realistic question from your work that AI would get wrong.
How much does it pay?
The work is paid hourly. Rates depend on the project and the level of expertise it needs, so we do not post one number here. You always see the rate before you accept a project.
How much time do I need to commit?
You choose which projects to take on. Work is remote, and hours vary by project. Each invitation tells you what the work involves before you commit, so you can fit it around your job, research, or studies.
Who is the work for?
Leading AI labs and AI companies that build and test large language models. They need specialists to write challenging problems, check model reasoning, and flag answers a non-expert would accept. Client names are confidential.
What happens after I pass?
We email you about next steps. That usually means confirming your background and field, then onboarding for a specific project when one matches. Passing qualifies you for matching. It does not guarantee a project.
Can I apply from anywhere?
Right now we can place experts based in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. If you are somewhere else, apply anyway and we will email you when projects open in your region.
What do you do with my information?
We use your details to review your application, follow up if you do not finish it, and contact you about projects that match your field. See our privacy policy for details.
